Shirley Food Drive 2025

A Shirley tradition for 36 years, the annual Shirley Food Drive supports Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. The food drive is traditionally run by scouts, scout families, and student volunteers.

The Shirley Food Drive volunteer schedule for 2025 is as follows

Sunday, November 9 starting at 1PM

On the first Sunday (November 9, 2025), scouts and families hand out empty donation bags door to door to homes all over Shirley.  Volunteers arrive at Lura A. White School at 1PM to pick up bags and be assigned their route.

Sunday, November 16 starting at 1PM

On the second Sunday of the food drive (November 16, 2025) , the donated food is collected door to door, sorted at LAW School, and transported to Loaves and Fishes.  Volunteers can collect food door to door and / or stay at LAW to sort and pack the collected food. Volunteers arrive at Lura A. White School at 1PM to be assigned a new collection route or help set up the sorting. Late arrivals can help sort and pack.
